This is my professional

I hold a Master´s Degree in Political Science from the Catholic University in Leuven (KULeuven) and a Bacherlor of Honours Degree in Germanic Studies from the University of Melbourne where I lived for eleven years. In addition, I have earnt diplomas in executive management, international project management, innovation and public administration.

 

I have a long track record of developing and leading complex and large-scale transnational EU projects focusing on empowerment of local communities and sustainable urban and regional development. I lived and worked in Australia, Sweden, Bosnia, Austria, Belgium and Denmark and curated and managed large-scale international events throughout Europe and Australasia.

Since 2019 I have been Project Manager of Voices of Culture, a Structured Dialogue between the European Commission and cultural stakeholders in Europe www.voicesofculture.eu

In 2017 I carried out a study for the European Commission´s Cultural Diplomacy Platform on EU-East Asia cultural cooperation in the framework of European Capital of Culture. https://www.cultureinexternalrelations.eu/2018/02/08/cultural-cooperation-between-ecoc-and-ccea/

I have been advisor on European Capitals of Culture for Ministries of Culture in Croatia, Austria and Germany as well as to bidding and designated ECoC cities.

In 2016, I led the Goethe Institute´s high profile “European Angst” conference at the Fine Arts Centre BOZAR in Bruxelles https://www.bozar.be/en/activities/121007-european-angst

In 2020 I co-organised the cultural meeting of the EU-China High Profile People-to-People Dialogue meeting in Bruxelles

Later I wrote a second Master´s thesis on the European Capital of Culture and the East Asian Cultural City in European-East Asia Cultural Relations - A European cultural model travelling East.

For two years I was director of the Danish Cultural Institute in Brussels, where my team and I built an advisory service for Danish cultural and educational institutions in international and multilateral cooperation, advocacy, fund raising and EU programs and was active in advocating the role of culture in EU external relations and in positioning the Danish Cultural Institute in the EU institutions. https://www.danishculture.com
